Technology is getting even fancier! Fitbits are rising in popularity, and I found out they can track more than just your daily number of steps.

I haven't seen too many here, but back in Michigan just about everybody I know owns a Fitbit. If you don't know what that is, it's a little wearable device that tracks your fitness on a daily basis. It lets you set fitness goals and shows you how many steps you take, how far you walk, and how many calories you burn.

What I didn't know, is that it also shows you your sleep activity. I was telling my friend this weekend about all my sleeping issues, and she suggested I wear her Fitbit to bed so we can track how well I'm actually sleeping.

The results were pretty shocking.

As it turns out, I really am sleeping as bad as I thought. Of the 5 hours and 45 minutes that it says I was "asleep," I only REALLY slept in a proper sleep for 54 minutes! Out of almost 6 HOURS. No wonder I take so many naps! It also showed that I woke up a total of 7 times in that short period. I'm really disappointed that I'm so bad at sleeping, especially considering that it's one of my favorite activities.

I'm considering getting a Fitbit now so I can track this on a daily basis and see if it improves at all. If you have any tips for getting a good night's sleep, I will gladly accept them! Leave them in the comments.
