The timeless Dolly was born on this date in 1946. She was 21 when the world started to notice her on Porter Wagoner's TV show. They had a number of successful duets during a seven-year period and then came solo success, movies, a theme park, and so much more. Dolly has reached the top of the country charts 25 times, the most by a solo female artist. 17 years ago she joined Country Music's Hall of Fame and today she celebrates another milestone... her 70th birthday.
