New Johnson County Restaurant Offers Pizza, Poutine, & a Patio

Eastern Iowans now have a new dining option in Johnson County! Cornerstone Pub has officially opened its doors in Tiffin.

We first told you about Cornerstone Pub earlier this month. The new restaurant is located at 1111 Parkside St on the ground level of the Ventnor apartment buildings. Cornerstone Pub is owned by two brothers, Dellis and Bruce Miller, and their goal for the restaurant is simple: "good food, cold drinks, and a place people actually want to hang out."

On June 20th, Cornerstone Pub officially opened its doors to the public. Here's a quick rundown of what to expect at the new restaurant.

The Menu

Cornerstone Pub's menu features some classic pub fare, like burgers, sandwiches, wings, and pizza. But, many of the options have some sort of unique aspect to them. For example, appetizers include Dill Pickle Cheese Curds, Butter Chicken Poutine, Brisket Sweet Corn Nachos, and Deviled Eggs. And, for entrees, customers can choose from dishes like the Brick Grilled Half Chicken, Blackened Shrimp Po' Boy, Cajun Chicken Alfredo, and Garlic Parmesan Grouper. Try the 'Elevated Scotcharoo' for dessert!

As for the pizza, there are two types available: 'New York Style' and 'Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza.' Some of the early reviews on Google specifically mention 'The Torch,' which is a New York style pizza topped with pepperoni, jalapenos, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, and hot honey.

Cornerstone Pub wouldn't be a "pub" without drinks! There are a number of signature cocktails, as well as 16 taps with both national and local brands. The current local options are Big Grove's Easy Eddy, ReUnion's Amber Ale, SingleSpeed's Tip the Cow, Toppling Goliath's Cyber Sue, Front Street's Cherry Bomb Blonde, and Jefferson County Ciderworks.

Business Hours

Cornerstone Pub lists their hours as Sunday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For the latest updates, you can check out their Facebook page HERE.
