Cook, Bohannon, And Wieskamp Earn Postseason Honors
Iowa junior forward Tyler Cook, junior guard Jordan Bohannon, and freshman Joe Wieskamp were named to the Big 10's all conference teams on Monday. The three players were all key contributors in Iowa's season and likely NCAA tournament appearance.
Cook was named All Big 10 second team by the media and third team by the league's coaches. He averaged 15 points per game and shot over 53% from the field. He also averaged a career best 8 rebounds per game. Bohannon was named All Big 10 third team by the media and coaches. He was the emotional leader for Iowa down the stretch hitting buzzer beaters and huge three pointers to keep Iowa in games. He averaged nearly 12 points per game and shot better than 39% from three point land. He also became the seventh Hawkeye in history to record three 100 assist seasons.
Wieskamp came to Iowa with high expectations. He managed to live up them. He was named to the five member All Big 10 Freshman team. He averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds during his freshman campaign. He shot 43% from three point range. He'll be looked at as a building block for Iowa's success in the years to come.
Iowa returns to action on Thursday and plays the winner of the Illinois/Northwestern game.
