Here's some good news we could all use.

KCRG reports Adam Cain's recovery is complete, and the Clinton firefighter, who was wounded in an early 2019 ADM plant explosion that took his partner's life, is back to full duty.

A Facebook post from his department welcomes him back, saying "the community is lucky and honored to have you back to serving your duties without restriction. It's been a long road, and many people to thank, but your hard work and vast support team have been an incredible part of this journey back to full duty".

It goes on to say they continue to serve and honor the memory of Lt. Eric Hossette.

Hossette was killed and Cain injured fighting the fiery blast in Clinton in early January.

All of us welcome this brave hero back to his calling to serve his community and join the Clinton Fire Department in continuing to offer our condolences to the family of Lt. Hossette.

If Cain's story inspires you with a desire to serve in a similar way, contact the Marion Fire Department, who are looking for a few good men and women to volunteer their time and service.
