Cedar Rapids Will Host a Street Food Festival This Summer

A brand new event is coming to Cedar Rapids this summer! The first Street Food Festival with local food trucks will take place on Saturday, July 19th at Ellis Park.

A local food truck called the Street Food Fighter has announced that their inaugural Street Food Festival, which will take place in the softball parking lot at Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Iowans are invited to stop out and enjoy delicious food from different trucks and vendors, including:

In addition to the food, the Street Food Festival will also feature face painting, live music, and giveaways. The Facebook event page reads:

"The Street Food Fighter Mobile Food Unit will be handing out 100 book bags to the children & 600 FREE Egg Rolls & Crabmeat Rangoons!"

Admission to the festival will be free, but donations for local homeless shelters are highly encouraged. 10% of the sales for the day will also go to local homeless shelters. For the latest updates, you can follow the official event page on Facebook HERE.
