October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Cedar Rapids Fire and Police Departments are stepping up for the cause.

Cedar Rapids firefighters will be sporting two different t-shirts, pink and navy blue with pink ribbon this month, for breast cancer awareness and to support breast cancer survivors.

The International Association of Firefighters Local #11 designed the shirts and, with the approval of the Fire Chief, will be wearing the shirts to promote Mercy Medical Center’s Especially for You Fund.

Above are the navy blue shirts, and below are the pink ones. The firefighters purchased their shirts, which are also are available for public purchase at $20 with proceeds benefitting the Especially for You Foundation.
