No more "Titans" in Cedar Rapids.

The minor-league indoor football team is staying put, but with new ownership and management is also coming new colors, logos and team name, according to the Gazette.

General Manager Ryan Eucker, who replaced Hawkeye football legend Marvin McNutt in that role, says online votes are now being taken. Go to this website to offer your input now through September 5th. The unveiling of the team's new branding will occur in October.

Eucker is also in the process of selecting a new head coach, with his choices narrowed down to four unidentified names. He told the Gazette,

I want a guy who can win some football games, That’s definitely going to be a big element and winning certainly helps in multiple areas beyond just ticket sales, sponsorships and getting everything out there as well. I’m looking for a good character guy

So it looks like the team is starting from almost complete scratch when the Indoor Football League resumes play in February. Interesting moves are ahead and we look forward to watching the team's new direction unfold.
