CBS2 Weather Says Potential ICE STORM Late This Weekend
The winter weather in Iowa reminds me of the line in the movie Forrest Gump "you never know what you're going to get"
Crap. I was planning to travel this weekend, but now...I'm not so sure.
News that we may be hit with an Ice Storm starting this Sunday evening are giving me reason to rethink my weekend travel plans.
The potential storm may start as light snow, then change to freezing rain as it drops on top of Eastern Iowa, making roads slick and driving conditions dangerous.
As we get closer to the weekend, the picture should be a bit clearer. According to CBS2 Meteorologist Rebecca Kopelman: "the biggest question mark is the amount of ice that accumulates in eastern Iowa. Trends are pointing toward areas north of Highway 30 for the highest accumulations"
So until the weekend arrives, we will just wait and see.
