Can Being Out In The Cold Make You Sick?

Courtlin and I spent 2 lovely hours outside in Marion last Friday night.  And now, we both are sick with colds.  It would be easy to blame the cold weather we sat out in.  In fact, you may have heard someone say, "bundle up beofe you go out, you'll catch a cold!"  But the cold weather has very little to do with it.

The reason you catch a cold, is because you came into contact with someone who has the rhinovirus.  Can cold weather give you a cold?  No.  But, it can lead to your immune system being weakened, which can lead to you contracting the virus.  The same rules apply with getting the flu.
