Hiking and Camping in Iowa

Camping season is here, and Eastern Iowa offers a terrific variety of campgrounds in nearby state parks.

Lately I've been enjoying Palisades-Kepler State Park near Mt Vernon more frequently.

And yes, the scenery is beautiful.

Another nearby state park that offers camping is Wapsipinicon State Park near Anamosa.

For our friends south of Cedar Rapids, there's Lake McBride State Park near Solon.
