Bubba’s 33 Announces First Restaurant Opening in Eastern Iowa
If you've never heard of Bubba's 33, you're about to! The chain affiliated with Texas Roadhouse is about to open its first restaurant in Eastern Iowa!
What is Bubba's 33?
Bubba's 33 is a restaurant that was the brainchild of the late Kent Taylor, the founder and former CEO of Texas Roundhouse. Restaurant Business Online reports that as Texas Roadhouse was hitting its stride in the 2010s, Taylor thought that he could duplicate that success with a slightly different model. The first Bubba's 33 opened in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 2013. The number 33 stands for the year 1933, the year prohibition ended in the United States.
What Food does Bubba's 33 serve?
While Texas Roadhouse specializes in steaks, potatoes, and beer in a country-themed atmosphere, Bubba's 33 is closer to a neighborhood sports bar. Bubba's serves up burgers, pizzas, wings, sandwiches, pastas, and more! But if you're really craving a steak, you can get that too!
Where is Bubba's 33 going in Eastern Iowa?
KWQC reports that Bubba's 33 will build its first Iowa location in Davenport, at 53rd Street and Ravenwood Drive, near the recently opened Panda Express. No word on when it will open, as the restaurant is still being designed.
Restaurant Business Online reports that Texas Roadhouse passed Olive Garden last year to become the largest casual dining chain in the United States. But Bubba's 33 is growing even faster! Bubba's sales grew by over 20% in 2024, making it the fastest-growing sports bar chain in the nation and the ninth fastest-growing casual dining chain. Bring on Bubba's 33!
