
Brucemore Nominated for Best Holiday Historic Home Tour
The historic Brucemore site is a must-see for visitors to Eastern Iowa and residents alike. The mansion and grounds are full of amazing sights and full of history. But Brucemore during Christmas is even more magical! The Cedar Rapids historic site has been nominated for an award by USA TODAY.
Brucemore Up for a Reader's Choice Award
CBS2 reports that Brucemore has been nominated for USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Award for Best Historic Holiday Home Tour. This is the sixth year that Brucemore has earned the distinction. The nomination recognizes the popular holiday experiences that are offered, including self-guided tours of the historic mansion.
What Will You See at Brucemore During the Holidays?
According to CBS2, each year the mansion and grounds are transformed into a winter wonderland featuring more than one dozen decorated Christmas trees, holiday decor, and a look back at how the Douglas family celebrated the holidays at Brucemore.
New to this year's holiday experience will be audio and video highlights of how the Brucemore staff prepared for the holiday season more than a century ago, according to CBS2.

When Do the Holiday Tours Start at Brucemore?
CBS2 reports that the seasonal tour options at Brucemore are the following.
A BRUCEMORE CHRISTMAS
- Select dates November 28th through December 31st.
- Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students. 3 and under are free
HOLIDAY NIGHTS
- Thursdays and Sundays in December from 5 to 8 p.m.
