Courtlin Pranked Brain Every Day This Week Using a Song From 1978

I think I won the 'Worst Coworker Award' this week...

It all started when I was on my way to work on Monday and heard "Roxanne" by the Police on our sister station KRNA. In the past, Brain and I have (annoyingly) imitated the "ROXANNNNNNE" parts of the song, so I filmed myself singing it as I walked past his office Monday morning, just for fun. From there, it grew into an ongoing prank.

Every day this week, I have tried to catch Brain off-guard by shouting "ROXANNNNNE" at him all over the office. One day I waited for him to come into the studio, one day I caught him coming out the elevator, one day I hid under his desk in the studio, and on Friday I actually got to work early and hid in his dark office for 30 minutes. I really committed to the bit.

As fun as this week was, I think both Brain and I are relieved its over. He's definitely thrilled to not have to worry about me scaring the crap out of him at any given moment, and I'm happy that I don't have to try and come up with new ways to sneak up on him. I'm not typically a prankster, so there was quite a bit of anxiety involved in the planning and execution.
