Brain & Courtlin Go Somewhere New for February Listener Lunch

Come try a new restaurant with us!

Yesterday afternoon, we wrapped up Listener Lunch for the month of January. We had an amazing month full of BBQ at Sugarfire Cedar Rapids, but it's time for us to move on to another area restaurant. Just like Sugarfire, the restaurant we're eating at in February is a place we've never been for Listener Lunch before, and that's mainly because it just opened in August of 2021!

If that enormous tenderloin looks good to you, then you're gonna want to sign up for February Listener Lunch at the Double Z Bar & Grill in Cedar Rapids! The Double Z opened in the former Blue42 location at 629 Ellis Blvd NW last year, and it's run by Jaymz Larson, who also owns Jimmy Z's in downtown Cedar Rapids (another restaurant we've done Listener Lunch at before). Both restaurants are known for their "pizza box tenderloins," but there are so many other great options on the menu! In addition to a variety of appetizers, they've also got burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, wings, and pizza. Here are a few of the things I've tried from the restaurant in recent months:
