Brain & Courtlin Are Staying in Downtown Cedar Rapids for July Listener Lunch

Runt's Munchies!

Brain and I have been doing Listener Lunch at Runt's Munchies since they first opened, so we have a lot of experience with the menu. Some of our favorite things to order include sliders, garlic parm wings, 'Loaded Mashed Potato Bombs' (pictured above), funnel cake fries, deviled egg dip, waffle fries, and just about any baked good from the 'Case of Yum.' But, I think Brain and I would both agree that the best thing on the menu at Runt's Munchies is the egg rolls. There are SO MANY FLAVORS to chose from, even breakfast ones!

About a year ago, the last time we did Listener Lunch at Runt's Munchies, I told the owner Jess that she should consider creating a new flavor of egg roll. One of the appetizers on the menu is Pickle Wrap Dip, and it's so ridiculously good, I suggested Jess try wrapping it up and deep frying it. Well, guess what?! She did it, and they were just as amazing as I expected them to be. And now, they are a permanent menu item named after ME! If you haven't tried "Courtlin's Egg Rolls" yet, I suggest you place an order ASAP. Oh, and don't forget to dip them in the restaurant's homemade ranch! I also highly recommend the F-Bomb Egg Rolls, the Chicken Nacho Egg Rolls, and the Creamed Chicken Egg Rolls.
