Brain & Courtlin Are Headed to Jones County for June Listener Lunch

Jones County, it's your time to shine!

After a lovely month of lunch (and breakfast) from Lucky's on 16th in Cedar Rapids, we're excited to reveal where we're headed for Listener Lunch next month. It's not often that we get to have lunch outside of Linn County, so if you work over in Jones County, June is your month! Without further ado, in June we'll be dining at...

BOONDOCKS in ANAMOSA!

We took our first trip to Boondocks for Listener Lunch in July of 2024, and we discovered that the restaurant has some AMAZING food. The tenderloin (pictured above) is delicious, and so are the cheese curds, the onion straws, and the 'Pony Pretzel.' Boondocks also has smash burgers, and one of them might be my favorite burger in ALL of Eastern Iowa! It's called the Gunslinger and it's topped with garlic aioli, pepperjack cheese, and a hand-breaded jalapeño popper patty. You can bet that it'll be my first order of the month this time around!

Oh, and don't forget about dessert! I have two words for you: SKILLET COOKIES.

We'll be eating at Boondocks every Tuesday in June, and because we're in Anamosa, we'll be choosing winners from Jones County all month long. If you normally can't do lunch with us because the drive from Jones to Linn County is a little too long, this is your chance to have some free food! We meet on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., and if you're selected, we will call you the Friday prior to confirm that you can make it. Winners can bring up to six other people with them.
