They say everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day. But this weekend everyone in Iowa will be celebrating the green with another huge event: Iowa Irish Fest at Lincoln Park in Waterloo.

The annual Iowa Irish Fest festival features three days of entertainment, including the popular band Gaelic Storm and a Friday night music performance by our favorite local Celtic band Wyld Nept.

The Highland Games are another great Irish Fest tradition with my favorite, the Scottish Hammer Throw (think Mel Gibson in Braveheart and you're there!)

There are Rugby and Soccer tournaments, 5k Run, Motorcycle Ride and plenty of kids activities as well.

Many early risers enjoy the traditional Irish breakfast and brunch, and there are plenty of food vendors to explore and enjoy all weekend.

The Irish Fest website has a comprehensive A to Z information page to guide you through the entire festival.

A three-day pass is just $20 and you still have time to save a few bucks when you buy in advance. They also have VIP packages available. Click here to purchase your tickets.

Did we mention they have whiskey tasting ...and beer, too?
