The Union Pacific "Big Boy" locomotive No. 4014 departed Cedar Rapids on Wednesday morning. We took our video crew over to capture old No. 4014 in all its glory and it was pretty cool!

There was well over 300 people that stopped by to see the world's largest steam engine depart from Cedar Rapids. Everyone had their phones out taking pictures and shooting video. It's not everyday you see something this cool, especially here in Cedar Rapids!

There are only seven of its kind left on display, and it's rare to see them in action. That's what made today so special. We're glad we made the trip and got to see it!

Special thanks to everyone at Union Pacific for including Cedar Rapids on this trip. We sure enjoyed our history lesson, and it was cool to be up close and personal to such an awesome machine.
