Balloon Glow 2019 was GORGEOUS! [PHOTOS]

WHAT A NIGHT!

One of the most popular events of the summer here in Eastern Iowa took place last night and the weather was better than we ever could have hoped! Balloon Glow 2019 took over the Sinclair Levy here in Cedar Rapids, with nine hot air balloons illuminating the night sky.

There was an incredible turnout for this year's event, and that's probably in part thanks to Alisabeth Von Presley. She absolutely KILLED it on stage! She had a great mixture of old songs, new songs, dance hits, and ballads, and the energy was very high thanks to dancers, costume changes, videos, and all sorts of special guests. One of my favorite parts of the night was her stripped down cover of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga. She sounded fantastic!

The sun was starting to set as the hot air balloons were being set up, which made for some beautiful photos. I snapped a few before I dipped out just after it got dark that I wanted to share with those of you who may have missed it!

We want to thank all of last night's performers, the event organizers, the people serving up food & beverages, the Cedar Rapids Police Department, and everyone who stopped by to visit us for making Balloon Glow 2019 a whole lot of fun! We can't wait until next year :)
