An Iowa State Student Just Joined Team Blake on ‘The Voice’
There's a lot of Iowa talent on NBC's 'The Voice' this season! Last week we told you about Salem, Iowa native Cali Wilson nabbing a spot on season 17 of the show, but she's being joined on Team Blake by ANOTHER woman with Iowa ties!
EllieMae Millenkamp is originally from Jerome, Idaho, but she currently attends Iowa State University in Ames. The 21-year-old is a senior studying agricultural business, but she also has a passion for music! Her bio reads:
"EllieMae was born and raised on her family’s well-known, 15,000-acre dairy farm. From a young age, she learned all aspects of farm life, from milking and breeding cows to irrigation. EllieMae loves her farmer roots, but always had a passion for music. Like most, she first started singing in church, and taught herself guitar in the seventh grade. She got involved with the worship band and now has a band of her own that gigs around town."
Monday night's episode of 'The Voice' featured EllieMae's blind audition, where she sang Kacey Musgraves' 2013 hit “Merry Go Round.” Blake Shelton was the only judge to turn around, which means that EllieMae is now a proud member of Team Blake! In case you missed her performance, here it is:
We can't wait to hear more from both EllieMae and Cali Wilson this season!
