Absolutely the Wurst Festival is Coming to Amana Colonies!

Step into the excitement of the Wurst Festival and enjoy a day packed with entertainment! 

Friday Fun June 14th:

Ackerman Winery (10 am-5 pm): Indulge in a delightful culinary experience with our specialty pairing of three sauces made with Ackerman Wines, perfectly complementing cocktail weenies. Accompanied by three flavors of FireCiders hard ciders, this tantalizing pairing is available for $12. For the little ones, we offer a non-alcoholic version featuring sausage sticks and apple juice for just $5. While you savor the flavors, enjoy some family fun games on our lawn including corn hole and giant Jenga! 

Fireside Winery in the Village (10 am-5 pm): Exercise your taste buds and cast your vote for the "Wurst BBQ Sauce in the Village"! Savor signature cocktails or wine flights while relaxing on our patio. Delight in a sausage and cheese flight alongside your chosen glass of wine. Bring the kids along for their own specialty non-alcoholic cocktails or let them join in the tasting fun with a special flight designed just for them! 

Lammey Fine Arts (10 am-5 pm): Enter to win a stunning wood print featuring local scenes. 

The Chocolate Haus (10 am-4:30 pm): Indulge in our weekend special of chocolate-covered bacon while supplies last. Cool off with an iced or frozen drink or treat yourself to some ice cream. Don't forget to grab a free pup cup topped with a bacon treat for your furry companion! 

Millstream Brewing Co. (11 am-9 pm): Savor our hand-crafted limited-release lager "Wurst Beer Ever" throughout the weekend. 

6-7:30 pm: Wurst Friday Brass Festival Parade 

7-8 pm: TKM Theatrical Productions at Amana Performing Arts Center: Join us for a special youth performance of "Johnny and Me" presented by TKM Theatrical Productions. Featuring the talented Amana Youth Theatre Campers aged 7 and up, who have been honing their skills with theatrical professionals for five days. Be part of the magic and imagination with this original musical! Original music tracks by Travis Smith. Tickets are available at tkmtheatricalproductions.simpletix.com.

Saturday, June 15th:

Warped & Woven Mercantile (9 am-5 pm): Discover Dexter the Dachshund hiding in the Salesroom and receive a fun dachshund tattoo! While you're here, explore our new collection of cotton blankets and enjoy shopping throughout the store. 

Colony Carvers (9 am-5 pm): Step into a charming rustic gallery showcasing chainsaw art, nestled within a historic Amana barn. Witness the creation of these unique carvings on site and take home a piece of art that brings joy to your heart! 

Lammey Fine Arts (10 am-5 pm): Enter for a chance to win a captivating wood print featuring local scenes. 

The Chocolate Haus (10 am-5 pm): Discover our delightful beverage and food specials as listed on Friday. 

Ackerman Winery (10 am-6 pm): Continue to indulge in our featured beverage and food specials highlighted on Friday. 

Three-Legged Race (6 pm): Team up with your partner for a thrilling three-legged race! The victorious adult team will be rewarded with a tall and refreshing glass of FireCiders hard ciders. Kids' prizes are also available for participating teams! 

Fireside Winery in the Village (10 am-6 pm): Experience the same delightful beverage and food specials from Friday in the cozy ambiance of our winery in the village. 

Millstream Brewing Co. (10 am-6 pm): Enjoy the soulful sounds of brass bands performing throughout the day while sipping on an ice-cold Millstream Brewing Co. Wurst Beer Ever. Don't forget to treat yourself to delectable offerings from the Beast & Bird BBQ and Millstream Brau Haus food trucks. 

6-9 pm: Air Waves Classic Pop Rock by Eastern Iowa's Own Groove to the classic pop-rock tunes performed by Eastern Iowa's very own Air Waves. Get ready for an evening of timeless melodies and infectious rhythms! 

The Rundown of Market Barn Events Saturday

11:00 am: Gates Open 11:00 am–4:00 pm: Yard Games Engage in some outdoor fun with a variety of yard games. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Take a break from the action to savor some mouthwatering brats! 

11:00 am - 1:30 pm: Live Music Featuring Tanya English Band Groove to the rhythm of live music performed by the talented Tanya English Band. Let their catchy tunes set the perfect backdrop for your festival experience. 

1:30 pm: Masskrugstemmen Competition Test your strength and determination in the Masskrugstemmen Competition. Hold a full beer stein with your arm extended and see how long you can last. Registration includes a contest t-shirt, a complimentary beer ticket, and the chance to claim victory. For more details, contact the Amana Colonies Visitors Center. 

2:00–5:00 pm: Live Music by Trophy Dads Keep the party going with more live music from Trophy Dads. Their energetic performance promises to keep you dancing and smiling all afternoon long. 

Bring Your Own Wiener

5:00 pm: Dachshund Derby, sponsored by Bankhaus prepares to be charmed as local Dachshunds race to be crowned the "Wurst Dog" in Eastern Iowa. Watch these adorable pups dash toward the finish line and compete for trophies and Amana Colonies gift certificates. Bring your own Dachshund to join the fun or simply come to cheer them on! Registration information is available through the Visitors Center or online. 

Sunday Jun 16th Events:

Millstream Brewing Co. (10 am-9 pm): Join us in celebrating Dad at Millstream Brewing Co.! Treat him to our signature Wurst Beer Ever and enjoy a day filled with fun family games for all ages. 

3-5 pm: Outdoor Summer Concert at Millstream Brewing Co. featuring Randy Sandersfeld: Get ready to groove as Amana's very own Randy Sandersfeld takes the stage at Millstream Brewing Co. His performance will have you singing and dancing along to timeless classics and a few of his own originals. Don't miss out on this fantastic outdoor concert experience!
