The movie "JAWS" is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Steven Speilberg classic is one of my favorite movies of all time. The film made us afraid of sharks. It made us afraid to go in the water. It's a fear that haunts many of us to this day. In honor of the movie's birthday, there have been numerous special screenings of the film on beaches and drive-ins across the country. But you'll never fear the movie "JAWS" until you watch it...on the water.

Imagine watching "JAWS" while floating on an inner tube in murky waters. That's the theme behind 'JAWS on the Water.' The Alamo Drafthouse in San Antonio, TX is hosting the event this weekend. They first hosted a floating movie showing of the movie back in 2002. They're doing it again since the film is turning 40. The beauty of the movie is that you don't even see the shark for the first half of the film. It's the fear of what you don't see that is scariest. Kind of like floating on an inner tube, unsure of what's below. I think it's a brilliant idea, but I'm not sure I'd do it. As Roy Schneider says in the film, "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
