The Ellis Harbor Family is hosting JAWS night in the harbor tonight! What is JAWS night you ask? Well, we'll tell you!

The folks at the Ellis Harbor in Cedar Rapids have rented a 120 inch projector, and will play the iconic movie on a screen while floating on the water. The shear fear of watching JAWS while your feet are dangling in the river is enough to scare the heck out of anyone!

Organizer Jake Brummer told us, "This idea has been tossed around by a few of us for a couple years now, and we finally just picked a date and went for it." Jake also confessed he has a fear of sharks. He said "Look man, I'm not sure I'll make it through the entire movie. Sharks scare the s#$% out of me! We're starting the movie at 9:30 in the evening, so we'll be floating in the dark, on the water, watching a giant shark eating people!"

He also told us it's a BYOB event. Bring your own booze and your own floats. There will be an electric pump on hand for quick inflation. The Kip Curl Popcorn Company will be providing FREE popcorn to all guests that are in attendance.

This is an ADULT ONLY event and open to the public. Social hour starts at 7 p.m., and the movie starts at 9:30 p.m. To view the Facebook event page, click here.

The location of the JAWS party is the Ellis Boat Harbor on the Ellis Blvd side. Find a place called "The Jack Shack," and you'll be in the right spot. It's on the West Side of the boat harbor in Cedar Rapids.

We know there aren't sharks in the Cedar, but the idea of this still is a little scary.
