A Popular Illinois-Based Restaurant Could Be Coming to Eastern Iowa
Hot dogs, anyone?
Last year when I went to Chicago for my birthday, I asked pretty much every person I knew to give me suggestions on places to visit. I'm a big foodie, so I was especially interested in restaurants. One of the places that was the most highly-recommended to me was Portillo's.
Portillo's is known for several different food items, including their Italian Beef and their Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, but I think they're best known for their hot dogs. I typically like just plain hot dogs, so I wasn't sure if I would be a fan of the restaurant, but I was VERY wrong. I tried my very first Chicago dog there and my life hasn't been the same since!
If you love Portillo's, or you've never had the chance to try it, then I have some good news for you! According to the City of Davenport Government Facebook page, the Illinois-based restaurant will hopefully be opening its first location in the Quad Cities! Here's the official post:
According to KCRG, "the City of Davenport will hold a neighborhood meeting Thursday evening at 6 P.M. at the East Library to discuss this proposed development." Hopefully we will know some more details very soon, but you can keep up to date with the developing story HERE.
