A Cedar Rapids Restaurant is Expanding Into Marion

Get ready for another new eatery, Marionites!

Thanks to a recent Facebook post, we just got word that the Cedar Rapids restaurant Daisy's Garage is going to be opening a new location this year!

The new Daisy's location will be at the corner of Hwy 151 and Hwy 13, right near the Pizza Ranch in Marion. It appears that the restaurant is being built from the ground up, so it will likely be awhile before it opens. Unfortunately, we don't have word on an estimated opening just yet.

Daisy's Garage first opened in Cedar Rapids at 1117 1st Ave SE before relocating into the Fountains Plaza at 5240 Edgewood Road in early 2019. The eatery serves lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

Daisy's is probably best known for their Steam Pots, which consist of crab legs, sausage, potatoes, and corn coblets with a side of toast points and a melted butter base. Their po boys are also a popular pick. Personally, my number one favorite item on the menu at Daisy's is 'The Smash.' Who doesn't love tater tots topped with bacon, cheese sauce, sour cream and green onion?! Oh, and don't miss out on the Buffalo Fries or the mac & cheese. If you can't tell, I've been to the restaurant on more than one occasion...
