98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Salutes Christopher Williams

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an eastern Iowa First Responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today, we honor Christopher Williams, who was nominated by his wife Sarah! Here's what she wrote:

"Christopher is the Safety and Emergency Manager at Mercy Medical Center (3 years), Captain with Springville Fire and Rescue (11 years), and was the Lead Paramedic for Anamosa Ambulance for 7 years. Chris served in Navy for 10 years as a Hospital Corpsman/Field Medical Technician. My husband is always putting the lives of those around him first. He helps support not only Springville Fire and Rescue, but multiple other departments in the area with protocols and procedures. Multiple times my husband has come up on an accident and jumped into action to help save a life."
