98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Shaylee Minear

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Shaylee Minear, who was nominated by Kelly Kirkpatrick! The entry reads:

"Shaylee is a critical care paramedic with 4 years of experience. She works at Hiawatha Fire and Rescue where her passion is taking care of pediatric patients! Shaylee is also attending nursing school. She is a compassionate paramedic and she will be an amazing nurse! She's also the best mom to a special needs superhero son, Grayson! I have witnessed first hand the incredible journey her son has gone through, a journey made successful by this amazing, strong, single mama!!"
