The skies over Eastern Iowa will be filled with fireworks this June and July! Here are some of the fireworks displays that have been confirmed for 2024:

Linn County

  • Fairfax USA Days, Fairfax Complex
    • Friday, June 21st & Saturday, June 22nd
    • Festival features free kids' attractions, 'After Dark in the Park' - A Super Science Foam Extravaganza, a street dance, a vendor market, a parade, a carnival, and more
    • Fireworks on June 22nd at 9:30 p.m.
  • Prairieburg Fireworks, Baker Park
    • Saturday, June 22nd
  • Linn County Fair, Central City
    • Fireworks following the concerts on Friday, June 28th & Saturday, June 29th (10 p.m.)
    • Fair admission is $5 for ages 11+ - tickets can be purchased HERE
  • Ellis Fireworks, Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids
    • Wednesday, July 3rd
    • "The best viewing spots include the ski show bleachers, in front of Ellis Park, anywhere in Ellis Park, or on a boat. All viewing spots are completely free of charge."
    • "The Ellis Park area will boast a variety of food vendors opening in the afternoon, and if prime seating is a priority for you, get there early! Ellis Boulevard will close down to foot traffic only as the police officers providing event security determine the area is too populated for additional vehicle traffic."
  • Fireworks & Fireflies, Lowe Park in Marion
    • Wednesday, July 3rd
    • "This free event will take place at the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy live music by FunkDaddies starting at 7 p.m. Food trucks, face painting and a grand fireworks finale will round out the event."
    • "Attendees should bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Coolers are permitted. Patrons are asked to leave pets, sparklers, fireworks and pop-up tents at home."
  • Celebration of Freedom Fireworks, Downtown Cedar Rapids
    • Thursday, July 4th
    • "Join us downtown on 3rd Ave and the amphitheater to watch the one of the largest firework displays in the state! Fireworks start at 'dark.' There will be music on the stage, food vendors, drinks in the venue, and a kids fun zone! You don’t want to miss Alisabeth Von Presley at the McGrath Amphitheater prior to the fireworks show beginning at sunset!"
  • Central City 4th of July Festival, Central City
    • Thursday, July 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Festival features a parade, an ice cream social, a vendor fair, inflatables, kids' activities, contests, a petting zoo, live music, and more
    • Fireworks will take place at the Linn County Fairgrounds at dark
  • Veterans Memorial Stadium, Cedar Rapids

    • Wednesday, July 3rd

  • Monticello's July 4th Celebration, Jones County Fairgrounds
    • Thursday, July 4th
