Today is World Autism Awareness Day, but one very tall monument in Cedar Rapids will be transformed to blue throughout Easter weekend.

The 60-foot tall Tree of Five Seasons, at the corner of First Avenue and First Street NE in downtown Cedar Rapids, will appear blue each evening through Easter. The lights of the stainless steel monument will be covered with blue filters to give it a different appearance and to help shine the light on autism awareness. The Empire State Building and the Prince's Palace of Monaco are just a couple global landmarks that are being lit in blue for World Autism Awareness Day.

The United Nations sanctions World Autism Awareness Day, which is in its eighth year. You can learn more here.
