Most of us have ridden a school bus at some point in our lives.  I grew up in the country, so I rode one to and from school until I could drive myself to school.  But kids who live in the city may not take the bus.  Today, I got to experience a Walking School Bus.  It is a Blue Zone project aimed at getting kids to live healthier.  What could be healthier than walking to school!

It was another typical spring morning....cold and a chance of rain, but it didn't dampen turnout.  Our walking bus made several stops, and then proceeded to walk to Bowman Woods Elementary School.  Everyone made it to school safely, and then the walking school bus members went their separate ways.

A big thank you to Bowman Woods Elementary School and the Blue Zone Project for inviting me out and encouraging healthy living for our kids!
