Using the “Gift Veto”

I'm going to start off by praising my wife.  She does most of the shopping for Christmas gifts in our household.  She makes her list, checks it twice...keeps track of who's naughty and nice.  But when she showed me an item that she planned on giving as a gift to a family member, I used a rare houshold power known as the Gift Veto. 

The Gift Veto.  When you see a gift you know is not right for the intended person, and you step in and say, "I don't think we should give that to" said person.  It's a rarely used move, but one I thought was needed.  The item I vetoed?  A woman's decorative scarf.  My wife SWEARS these are "cool" and "in fashion" right now.  She may be right.  I've never really excelled at woman's fashion.  Here is a closeup of the scarf in question.

Am I in the wrong?  Is this thing the latest in scarf fashion?  I'm asking this because it very well could BE!  My wife still wants to give it as a gift, so I'm opening this up to a public referendum.  Yes or No on this scarf.  Please let me know.....the future use of the Gift Veto depends on your vote.  Thank you.
