Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been a big impact on country music for years, both in their solo careers and the always-amazing duets, like the recent 'Meanwhile Back at Mama's.' They've also managed to significantly influence the music scene in the city of Nashville, leading to their upcoming receipt of the Harmony Award.

The couple will obtain their award on Dec. 13 at the invitation-only 2014 Symphony Ball at at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Attendees will be treated to a special performance by Hill and McGraw, who will also lend their voices to the symphony. This is the event's 30th anniversary and is a fundraiser for the Nashville Symphony.

The Harmony Award is given annually, and individuals are chosen based on how they exemplify the harmonious spirit of the musical community in Music City. Country artists have often been the recipients of this prestigious award -- past Harmony honorees include Brad Paisley in 2013, Keith Urban in 2012, and Taylor Swift in 2011.

"Through the years, the Harmony Award has recognized many in Nashville for their contributions to our city's unique culture, and both Faith and Tim have more than earned their place alongside the names of all the past recipients," says Alan Valentine, Nashville Symphony president and CEO, in a press release. "Not simply outstanding artists, these are two outstanding people who have helped make Nashville the thriving creative capital that it is and we are thrilled to honor them with this award."

Other country stars included in the event are past recipient Amy Grant and her husband Vince Gill, who will host the patron party.

McGraw just released his new album 'Sundown Heaven Town' and took over Taste of Country in celebration. With his thirteenth studio album, a beautiful and talented wife who "makes him 'better at everything," and a major impact on the city he calls home, the 'Shotgun Rider' singer is one lucky guy. McGraw will headline the Taste of Country Music Festival in 2015.
