Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner and Ned Flanders. All voiced by actor Harry Shearer on Fox's 'The Simpsons'. All of those characters and many more are in jeopardy after it was revealed that Shearer will not be returning to the hit TV show. Multiple sources are saying that Shearer will leave the show after 26 amazing years. The actor made the announcement on Twitter, where he revealed a supposed memo from the executive producer of The Simpsons, James L. Brooks.


Is this it for Lenny, Scratchy and Otto? Production on new episodes of The Simpsons have yet to start, so fans are holding out hope that a deal can be reached. But it appears that Shearer is ready to move on.


I've always been amazed at the talents of voice actors, and Harry Shearer is one of the best. Can they find someone to replicate all his famous voices? Probably. But they won't have the heart and soul he brought to the table. Here's hoping a deal can still get done.
