The New Electric Harley Davidson Motorcyle Sure Doesn’t Sound Like A Harley!

There is simply no mistaking a Harley Davidson motorcycle.  I've enjoyed seeing a lot of them at the Friday Night Bike Nights at McGrath Hawkeye Harley Davidson.  But there is a new Harley making headlines.  It's called Livewire, and this Harley is electric.

Ask anyone who has a Harley, what the most recognizable thing about the motorcyle is, and 99% of them would respond "The sound!"  Nothing sounds like a Harley engine does.  With Livewire that sound is gone, and replaced by a hum that sounds straight out of a science fiction movie.  The new electric bike isn't for sale yet.  Harley Davidson is touring the country with it getting imput from riders.  Look for a commercial version of the Livewire in the next couple of years.
