I used to have a problem with parking tickets. The problem was, I used to get a lot of them. So many in fact that they threatened to tow my vehicle if I didn't pay them all off. I was young, stupid and broke. Now, I have a paid parking spot in the parkade in downtown Cedar Rapids. But many people still struggle with plugging the meter. The time you're most likely to get a parking ticket in Cedar Rapids is Wednesdays between 10 and 11 am. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days with the highest number of tickets issued. The most likely PLACE to get a ticket? 2nd street in downtown Cedar Rapids. 1 in 6 citations issued came from that location.

In case you're wondering, cars with Iowa plates get 95% of the tickets issued. But drivers from all 50 states were ticketed. Out of state drivers will usually get a warning before their first citation.
