What's the most you've ever spent on a birthday cake? Maybe $100 at most? Introducing the cake that weighs nearly a thousand pounds, is six-feet long, took over 1100 hours to make, and cost over $74 million!

Here it is, in all it's $74 million glory. A "catwalk" cake purchased by unnamed clients in the United Arab Emirates for their daughter's birthday and engagement party. Hey, it was for two special events so why not go ALL out, right?! When you see the photos below, I know what you're going to say. THAT cost $74 million? How?

This cake has a very special ingredient. Diamonds. Some 4,000 of them. The runway itself has more than 400 one-carat white diamonds, 73 three-carat white diamonds, and 73 three-carat black diamonds.

Too beautiful to eat? Ok, I think the thing's hideous. However, guests better be very careful if they take a piece. The icing has one 6.4-carat yellow diamond, one 5.2-carat pink diamond, and 15 5-carat white diamonds. There're about 3400 other stones on the cake, too, including emeralds and amethyst. That's not all. There's also a digital LCD mini TV and a sound-activated LED lighting Bose music system. Can you say,
r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s?

Other than the rocks themselves, everything else is edible. Yeah, right. There's no way anyone is touching this with anything, let alone a fork. I sure hope she was impressed but then again, if you spend this kind of money for a cake, I'm guessing impressing her isn't possible. I sure hope her hubby-to-be can live up to her expectations.
