Teacher of the Week — April 22nd

This week’s winner is Amy Aarhus, a 1st grade teacher at Nixon Elementary in Hiawatha! She was nominated by Spring Hamer. Here’s what she wrote:

"My child has terrible anxiety issues at age 7, and he has no idea how to deal with this. She is amazing. She takes the time to deal with him separately and give him more individual attention to keep him from having terrible anxiety attacks. She is truly amazing and understanding. I don't know what we will do next year without her."
