Taylor Swift's "The 1989 World Tour" was announced this morning. The tour makes an Iowa stop in Des Moines, but not for a long time.  Taylor will grace the stage at Wells Fargo Arena on October 8, 2015... a full 11 months away.  Despite the length of time 'til the show date, tickets for the show go on-sale next week. And you can bet they will sell fast. Full details here.

In other Taylor Swift news this morning, Spotify announced she has removed all of her music from the service. Don't be surprised if many other artists follow suit as sales, especially those of full-length albums, continue to slow.

Taylor's certainly not struggling for sales. Her album, "1989," which was released last week was expected to sell upwards of 1.3 million copies by the end of the day yesterday. That would put her close to the all-time record for a female solo performer... 1.319 million. That number was hit in 2000 by Britney Spears with her album "Oops!... I Did It Again." We'll see if Taylor has set another record when final numbers are released on Wednesday.
