Every weekday, my alarm goes off at 3 am.  People often ask me, "Do you ever get used to getting up that early?"  No.  No, you don't.  At least I haven't.  This year marks my 15th year of doing early morning radio.  And everyday my alarm goes off at 3 am, my body objects.  But there are some things you can do to help streamline your morning routine.

You can find some tips for your morning routine in an article on the website RealSimple.com.  While I don't do all of them, I do subscribe to a few of their suggestions.  I always set out my clothes for the next day.  It's one less thing I have to do, in the dark, when I get up in the morning.  I also have my breakfast all ready to go.  I just pack things the night before.  And finally, I set my alarm 5 minutes early.  It's a simple step, that gives you a little extra time in case something comes up.
