Sledding (Snow) Suit

Sledding.  It's one of the greatest things a kid can do when the weather gets cold and snowy.  I spent MANY winters sledding - both a my grandparents house (they lived at the bottom of a hill) and at our local golf course (Hole #6 was the perfect slope for a fast ride.)

Now, cities are looking at the possibilities of changing rules or banning sledding in some public places because people are getting hurt.  Well...it's not so much the "hurt" part that is killing sledding - it's the lawsuits that follow.  In Iowa there have been lawsuits into the millions by people who have been hurt.  While I don't have a complete list of those who have filed suits, the ones I have read about have been adults.  Do kids get hurt sledding?  Of course!  I'd be willing a lot of those kids get up and instead of marching to an attorney's office, they brush off and march back to the top of the hill.
