Photos of Texas Flood Look All Too Familiar to Eastern Iowans

The persistent rains that have plagued Texas over the last couple months remind me of what happened in Eastern Iowa seven years ago. The pictures coming out of Texas this week are reminiscent of ones we saw here too.

While the Dallas-Fort Worth area gets pounded by storms and heavy rain again tonight, everyone who's gone through it before knows the clean-up is a long one. Unfortunately, it can't begin until the rains finally subside. For Texas' sake, let's hope that happens soon.
