Every Thursday we highlight a problem from a listener. We give our advice and ask other listeners to offer advice. Welcome to the Counseling Corner.
Dear Brain and Courtlin,
I've been married to my wife for 2 years now.  I thought that she was the healthiest person I'd ever met.  She is a vegetarian, and even attends a weekly yoga class.  The other day, I noticed a receipt laying on the counter.  After glancing at it I saw the word cigarettes on it.  I went through her purse and found a pack stashed away.  After I confronted her, she came clean and told me that she'd smoked for the past five years!  I can't believe she kept this filthy habit from me the entire time we've known each other!
This feels like a betrayal of our trust, since she's not who I thought I was marrying.  Does this mean she's lied about other things?  Can I ever trust her again?
