Kip Moore may be sneaky when it comes time to release his new music, and it may be the last we hear from him for awhile. In a recent interview, the singer suggests he might follow in the footsteps of Eric Church and Beyonce and spring new music on his fans with little-to-no warning.

"Possibly," Moore tells CMT when probed about his release tactics. "I can say this: I’ve never been this excited about the music that I’ve been writing as I am right now. I’ve been holding it really close to me."

It's been about a year since the release of Moore's latest album, Wild Ones — a record he says he poured his whole heart into. Ever since that project hit the shelves, the 36-year-old singer has been putting even more himself into writing the next one, and he's really excited about it.

"The minute I get off the road, I’m always writing. And I’m just so excited about this work," he explains. "I’m always measuring myself by what I’m doing right now. I’m in one of my most creative headspaces."

"I might not make music for a while after this record ..." Moore confesses. "I think I would probably just go surf for half a year or something. I think that’s what I would do after I finish this."

Moore promises that he still plans to tour in 2017, however, and that his new music will offer variety.

"I think that you’ll definitely sense that I’m in a little better place this time around making this record," he continues. "There will be a lot of different colors on this record. There won’t be one defining sound the way the Wild Ones record was. You might have three or four different styles of music on this record."
