Kelsea Ballerini Releases Video for ‘Dibs’ [WATCH]

Her biography states that she's spent the last 10 years creating music, about her life, to inspire others. No wonder when I see Kelsea Ballerini I can't help but think of Taylor Swift.

There are definitely some similarities between Kelsea and Taylor. While Swift used songwriting to deal with being somewhat isolated by her peers, Kelsea began writing songs to cope with the divorce of her parents when she was only 12. While Taylor was only 14 when the world learned about her, Kelsea is 22 and is nominated for two trophies on next month's CMA Awards. She's up for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Following the breakout success of her debut single, Love Me Like You Mean It, which reached country music's number one spot at the end of June last year, Kelsea is back in the Top 20 again with Dibs.

None of us should be surprised that Kelsea is one of Taylor Swift's biggest fans (see below). Will her career follow the meteoric rise of Taylor? It's highly unlikely, but if she's half as successful as Taylor that would still be incredible. Don't bet against her.
