Jimi Westbrook’s Sister Has Died

Little Big Town is mourning the loss of the sister of longtime member Jimi Westbrook.

Jimi, who is married to fellow group member Karen Fairchild, posted the sad news to his Instagram account, which included a beautiful tribute to her (below). Her obituary stated that Joyce Marie passed away Sunday at the age of 59. No cause of death was included, but there was a note of thanks from the family to the staff of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center as well as an address for donations, in lieu of flowers.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that a member of Little Big Town has dealt with the death of a close family member. Kimberly Schlapman's first husband, Steven, died of a heart attack in 2005. She married Stephen Schlapman the following year. Stephen's brother, Allen, was killed by a drunk driver the night before Thanksgiving in 2012.
