Jason Aldean is returning to Des Moines and we have a couple of ways for you to win tickets. Monday through Wednesday, August 14 through 16, at 8:10 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain and Courtlin will be giving away tickets to the show. You can also win 4 tickets here!

Jason Aldean has had quite a career thus far. He's sold over 20 million albums and conquered the charts 27 times with number one songs. Since his debut in 2005, he's had more songs in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart than any other act.

It might surprise you to find out that Sunday, August 20, 2023, will only be Aldean's second appearance at the Iowa State Fair. It was definitely time for a return trip.

The Food Network show 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' hasn't made very many stops in Iowa, so we wanted to give them a few ideas for their next visit! Our list contains diners, hole-in-the-walls, small town staples, places that have stood the test of time, and restaurants that just have that perfect dive-y vibe. Most of our picks come from the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City areas, but we did include a few favorites that are a bit of a drive! Here are 25 of the places we'd love to see on 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' someday:

Historic 10-Bedroom Mansion in Eastern Iowa Sold

It was built in 1900 for Nicholas J. Schrup, an ultra-successful Dubuque businessman who also became an Iowa State Senator. After being restored, it opened as The Mandolin Inn Bed & Breakfast in 1988. Located at 199 Loras Boulevard in Dubuque, the home was sold in 2023 by Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors.
