It The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

I've made it no secret that fall is my favorite time of the year. This past weekend my wife and I were talking about how it felt "fall-like", but it didn't quite look fall-like yet as far as the trees were concerned. There are a group of trees that I see whenever I turn down the road to head home and I can usually gauge how close to fall we are by the color of those trees.

Yesterday, it happened. I made the turn into my development and I saw the colors. I actually slammed on the breaks and pulled over to the side of the road so I could show you what "the start of fall" looks like to me. Now, like a cold that spreads quickly among a classroom full of 1st graders, ALL of the trees in our development will look like this in 2 week. Welcome to fall!
