The Iowa Hawkeyes suffered their first road loss since 2014. It was ugly as the Hawkeyes lost to Penn State 41-14. Iowa didn't appear to be in the game from the get-go as Penn State marched down the field with very little resistance. Penn State took the opening kick off to mid field and a few plays later were in the end-zone and the rout was on.

Iowa did find the end-zone with a touchdown pass from C.J. Beathard to Akrum Wadley late in the 2nd Qtr to cut the lead to 21-7, but that would be as close as Iowa would get.

Penn State racked up almost 600 yards of total offense against Iowa under the lights in Happy Valley.

Iowa will need to find answers real quick as #2 Michigan invades Kinnick Stadium Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ABC
