It's the most wonderful time of the year! At least according to Andy Williams.

For the most part, Andy is right. November and December holidays are the best holidays during the year. Even if the weather gets a bit dicey and we see cold temperatures and snowstorms, the Holiday season is placed perfectly on the calendar. What better way is there to end your year than celebrating with family and friends?

While the holiday season is incredible for various reasons, it can be stressful if you have to travel and it can also be tough on your wallet. The Iowa lottery is trying to help as they are giving away the largest holiday cash prize they've ever given away.

Iowa Lottery Holiday

The Million Dollar Holiday is giving away...well, 1 million dollars! You have the chance to win a half-million-dollar grand prize. According to the Iowa Lottery,

Players have a chance at up to $5,000 on each of the three monthly drawings, but this promotion has a grand prize for one lucky winner of $500,000, two lucky winners of $100,000 and one lucky winner of $50,000 in January of 2024. Best of luck to you!

The next time you stop at a gas station or wherever else you can potentially buy lottery tickets, you can purchase "holiday scratch tickets." The tickets range from $2 to $20 and if your ticket is not a winner, you still have a chance to win with the Play It Again.

If you enter a non-winning ticket, you are entered in a prize category associated with that ticket, and you could still potentially win $5,000. If you don't win any of the three, $5,000 prizes, your ticket is then entered into the January 10 drawing for $50,000, $100,000, and $500,000 cash prizes.
